Az IBM Lotus Connections 2.5-ös verziója mikro-blog, file megosztás és egyéb web2 eszközökkel bővült. A programot először egyébként még 2007-ben mutatták be, van benne wiki eszköz, mobil támogatás az iPhone-hoz és a Nokia Series60 operációs rendszerrel ellátott telefonjaihoz. Ráadásul bizonyos funkciók már kisméretű kijelzőn, azaz okostelefonon keresztül is elérhetőek, arra optimalizát változatban.

The 2.5 version of Lotus Connections, which was first introduced in 2007, also adds a wiki service and expands mobile capabilities with support for Apple’s iPhone and Nokia S60 devices. The support provides micro-browser access from those devices to Lotus Connections Profiles, Activities and Blog services.
